A proud Roanoke native, Dr. Erin Woods is honored to provide care in the community where she was raised. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where she also completed an Advanced Studies Certificate in Binocular Vision and Vision Therapy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech.
Dr. Woods received extensive clinical training in ocular disease, low vision, and primary eye care at esteemed institutions such as the Salisbury VA Medical Center and the Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center. She offers comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages and manages a range of ocular conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. Her services also include pediatric eye care, contact lens fittings, and refractive evaluations.
Dr. Woods is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Virginia Optometric Association and currently serves as the 2025 President of the Southwest Virginia Optometric Society. She is also a proud graduate of the AOA Leadership Institute.
